King of France!
Protect the lowly, feed the hungry ones,
And be the Orphan's father! thus shalt thou740
Become the Representative of Heaven,
And Gratitude and Love establish thus
Thy reign. Believe me, King! that hireling guards,

A tyrant on the blood-cemented Throne745
