JOSEPH AND HIS BRETHREN

Joseph. Not hers, but her husband's. I will not come.

Wakara. I cannot carry so rough an answer.

Joseph. Speak it gently: I have no other.

Wakara. I will tell her. [Going, turns] And shall I tell thee my thought?

Joseph. If 'twill ease thy mind.

Wakara. I think thou art a fool!
