The president announced to the Council, that he had this day laid before the Governor, for his approbation, the act to amend an act entitled "an act to establish circuit courts in certain counties, and to define their powers and duties;" the act to establish branches of the Bank of Michigan, Farmers and Mechanics' Bank of Michigan and the Bank of River Raisin; the act to amend an act entitled "an act relative to the privileges and duties of townships;" and the act for the relief of Hiram Wilmarth.
The following bills were considered in committee of the whole, reported to the Council with amendments, the amedments concurred in, and the bills with the amendments, ordered to be engrossed and read a third time tomorrow.

Mr. Stockton gave notice that he should, on a future day, introduce a bill to incorporate the Shelby and Detroit Rail Road Company.
