my clothes and myself; but everything went well and in good order and I don't think they were very strict. I was done just in time to get on the train, but I had no time to drink coffee after the long drive. The trip from Tetschen to Dresden was very beautiful, especially the forest, which stood there so dense and so pretty, such a lovely fir and pine forest I had not seen since I was home. At noon on June 5, we reached Berlin; but then I was terribly tired after 5 1/2 days and night's travel, and struggle and unease. We stayed only 2½ days there until I could show passports, etc.; because I had a passport to Norway and it was probably a good thing, because otherwise I would have had to wait both 2 and 3 months before I could get permission to go home, therefore I saw neither Mr. Schuchardt nor Pastor Lohmann, and I was sorry because I had a lot to talk about with them. On June 7, the journey continued to Rügen, where I had to stay for 10 days, since I came through Austria; but I was just fine there both in terms of food and lodging, and they were all so kind to us. A Swedish gentleman was so taken by Fridtjof and always came to play with him. "I think I want to go down to Constantinople and get myself such a good boy," he said. On one occasion, I learned that there were several "Bible Sisters" in the Bergen hospital on Rügen, and with them I had many pleasant moments and they were out strolling with me in the beautiful area. Finally, finally, the hour of liberation struck, and we could go home. By the way, the stay there had done us both good, we had been rested after all the hardships. On the train again a thorough search of all the clothes was done, my bag was inspected from the bottom and the suitcase as well, it was really a quest to get everything back in. Finally, we came to Sasnitz; But there they began to investigate everything again, and it took almost 2 hours before everything and everyone was done, and I was glad when we finally steamed off on the big, nice Swedish steamship and headed home. It was a wonderful trip in radiant weather, and so beautiful to see the sun so red and shining going down into the sea. Fridtjof was as pleased as I was and ran around on the deck, he might also have felt that now we were in freer waters. In Trelleborg we got a good cabin and slept so comfortably all night. Finally, on June 18, we reached Kristiania, where we were received with open arms by dear friends and relatives, it was like a dream to be home. Psalm 91, 11. -

Dear friends, now comes some words to remind you that it is expensive down there, prices of cereals, food and clothing fabrics are steadily rising, making it very difficult for the orphanages to care for so many, and more and more coming and we cannot send them away; for they have no one in the whole world who can provide for them, after all, their father and mother are gone, where, nobody knows. And imagine, our little ones here at home, who has it so warm and well and missing nothing. Please, do you not want to help as much as possible? Think of all the old and small ones who lack everything and share with them. Corinth. 9, 6 - 7,

Many heartwarming greetings for each one.

Yours in the Lord connected
