My dear friends! How wonderful it is to sit at home in the beloved homeland in peace and security and in orderly conditions and write to you! And being able to write freely, the way you think and feel without having to consider every word, is so undeniably good. First and foremost, I must say a warm thank you to all those who, in prayer, in thought and deed, have followed me out into the land of blood and tears, who have struggled, suffered and worked for the unhappiest of all people for whom my heart bleeds for. I want to ask you to endure in work and prayer and not to get tired and give up the hope of a brighter future for the Armenian people. It is easy to work in bright and peaceful times, where everything smiles at you and where one sees progress in the work; but it is important not to lose courage but looking upward as the storm rages and the waves go wild, threatening to devour our lifeboat. Then it is good to have Him, who is the man to steer
