He had n’t a bit of right to that money; you know papa looked into the account and found that it was hardly twenty-five dollars, and the man had trumped up all the rest of it. If that is n’t stealing, I don’t see what would be. But still—dear me—I can’t bear to think that that interesting man is the one. Perhaps Mrs. Rosa is wrong about him.”
