"Smelled it. But you can't walk, son. It's summer and there's a desert back of the mountains."

"I'll get there," Ken said.

"Take University Avenue," said the man. "Keep on it until you hit the Atlantic Ocean. And God bless you."

"Thanks, fellow," said Ken, and moved on.
