From thee came forth that mighty One,
The long-desired of all mankind.
O Jesu! born of virgin bright,
Immortal glory be to Thee;

PSALM VIII
God is wonderful in His works; especially in mankind, singularly exalted by the Incarnation of Christ
O Lord, our Lord, how admirable is Thy name in the whole earth!
For Thy magnificence is exalted above the heavens.
Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings Thou hast perfected praise because of Thine enemies, that Thou mayest destroy the enemy and the avenger.
For I will behold Thy heavens,
