This Digest, with Hilliard's Abridgment, and Kent's Commentaries, contains the whole Law of Real Property, as it exists in the United States, and are three works that no lawyer can well do without. Long on Sales, is a book of moderate merits, and never reached a second edition in England. Mr. Rand enlarged the work, which gave it a currency and peculiar value, from the ability and skill with which he collected and incorporated the additional matter, amounting to 200 pages. There are a good many mistakes in the references of his edition, but with this defect, and, withal, its age, it is the best and only treatise in general use on the Law of Sales, in the country. A comprehensive Treatise on Sales is much needed, which, it is understood, W. W. Story, of Boston, is preparing. 21 A. J. 471. .
