“IS” AND “TÁ.”
I. | “Is,” or any part of it, is the link between two
substantives, or between two modes, as “Is ainiṁíġe bó”; “Is ’na seasaṁ atá sí.”

II. | “Tá,” or any part of it, is the link between a substantive and any of its modes, as “tá an bó ’na seasaṁ”; “tá sí ag siúḃal.” |
III. | The predicate comes next to “is,” the subject comes next to “tá.” “Atá” is the relative form of “tá.” ”Is” can be very often omitted.
