p. 138, certainly belongs to this genus, and is perhaps not specifically different from the plant here described. But a second species, discovered in Java by Dr. Horsfielcl, in 1815, may be readily distinguished by the following cha- racter :— Aikinia (Horsfteldii) folio unico sessili, caulem simplicissimum terminante, pedunculo solitario pluribusve seriatis. — Brown.
