EVALUATION OF METHOD: The m eth od was evaluated for all elements and compounds listed in Table 1 and Table 2 between 1999 and 2001 using known am oun ts of b ulk m aterial [4]. Evaluation is ongoing for additional elements and com pounds. The limits of detection and quantitation were also determined for each element. Two ICP instruments were used in the evalua tion, a Thermal Jarrell Ash Model 61E [5] and a TJA IRIS [6], operated acc ording to the m anu facturer's instru ctions .
