An anſwer to the above.

Agreeable to my friend's requeſt, I have applied to my neighbour, who keeps the boarding ſchool. I have incloſed her card, which contains her terms and the rules of her ſchool. I approve highly of your intention, and doubt not, but Harriot herſelf, when ſhe becomes ſenſible of your goodneſs, will be grateful for it. I am ſurpriſed you ſhould think the taſk of friendſhip any trouble—for the future then, inſtead of requeſting—command the ſervices of

My dear Charlotte,
The lady's terms being exceedingly moderate, and the rules of the ſchool correſponding entirely with my wiſhes, l do not heſitate in ſending her my dear girl immediately; aſſured, from the great encouragement which your polite favour has given me, that Harriot, during our ſeparation, will, every opportunity, find a ſecond mother in her mother's dear friend.
