A.
Of the form of Government and the Religion.

§. 1.

The Kingdom of Norway is a free, independent and indivisible Realm. Its form of government is a limited and hereditary monarchy.

§. 2.

The Evangelical-Lutheran Religion shall be maintained and constitute the established Church of the Kingdom. The inhabitants who profess the said religion are bound to educate their children in the same. Jesuits and Monastic orders shall not be tolerated.

Jews are furthermore excluded from the Kingdom.
