- The blood volume increases in trained athletes. This is a result of increased plasma volume.
- The athlete is usually able to work longer with hige levels of lactic acid in his blood than non athlete,
- Exercises lower bleed fat levels.
RESPIRATION
- Resting Ventilation rates from 12-16 cycles/minute to 10 12 cycles/minute
- Increases the tidal volume (The amount of air taken in with which each breath) from 500 milli litre/minute to about 550/600 milli litre/minute.
- The capacity to utilize oxygen is a result of the functional capacity of the heart, lungs, circulatory system, blood and enzyme.
- Greater depth of respiration during maximal exercise due to the grater strength of the respiration muscles of the rib cage.
- Oxygen dept capacity may be increased.
