ANNOUNCEMENT
WITH this issue The Pacific Monthly enters upon a new era in its existence as a magazine. A prominent increase of 32 pages of reading matter is made, and a new department, "Progress" is begun, the object of which is to keep a record of the wonderful growth, possibilities, and progress of the great and virile West. These changes in the character and scope of the magazine have been made possible by the phenomenal increase in its subscription list. The increase in November over October was 750 copies. In December the increase over December is 2335 copies. A feast of good things is in store for the readers of The Pacific Monthly for 1903.
