Albert after cattle not seen yesterday, (found them) Team came home up with new hands from "Mystery".

Mc & self making new body pole etc for dray. Tucker & Lewington cutting battens. a.m. & p.m. raising stone, A at odd jobs. Harry with ewes & lambs (native).

Two hands carting, 2 raising stone, & weighing up stores for sheep station. Self looking out site for camp. Downto W's for books & home.
OCT. 7.
Bullocks could not be found till late, when I started with hands to make hut, & yard for sheep, the shepherd, & native having started very early.
OCT. 8.
I brought up all the horses, as I required 2 to go on a short trip to examine the country between this & the Fortescu (River) We made a start at about 1 p.m. & slept 15 miles
