UNBIDDEN GUTESTS.
Good thought, are like the violet demure
    So sweet. so pure;
  They ope their happy eyes
  'Neath stormy skies,
    Calm and secure.

As guests unbidden though perchance they come,
    They make the dumb,
  Pale silence blithely ring
  And sad lips sing
    Most frolicsome.
