LOVE'S DICTIONARY.

What is the strongest?
What is the strongest? The Baby's hand,
With its tiny fingers groping and clasping,
Measuring out life's golden sands,
And strong men's souls in its strange might grasping.
O what is power and pomp and place
To the tender touch of its dimpled grace!
     Clinging, caressing,
     Leading and blessing,
    This is the strongest.
