MY LOST TREASURE.
87
I looked, and all the gladsome earth was fair
      On hill and plain,
While summer incense on the balmy air
      Breathed hope again.

I looked the fields were garlanded in green,
      The woodlands rang
With flower-bells, and in the leafy screen
      The wild birds sang;
Then as mine eyes, now clearer grown and strong,
      Were slow uprisen,
Behold! the treasure I had lost so long
      Was found,in Heaven!
