PREFACE
The author of this volume, known in childhood as Rosa Neil, is a daughter of Augustus and Urana Neil; and was born at Ashville Chautauqua County New York in 1865
She has lived the most of her life since the age of sixteen in the state of Ohio; but is at the present time a resident of Chautauqua County, having recently bought a home on the East side of the lake.
