STARLIGHT.

We saw him placed with a sheet o'er his head:
Dear Baby will never wake up here, we said.
So we gathered sweet lilies, and roses fair,
To strew in his coffin, when he was laid there.
Oh! it was a sad day, when they took him away,
To be laid in the grave till the last great day.
