THE BRIDE OF CHRIST.

"Come hither, I will show thee the bride, the Lamb's wife."
Revelation xxi. 9.
THEN how would ye deck Christ's Bride
In "purple and scarlet" rare,
With sparkling gem, and orient pearl,
To flash in her golden hair?

Or would ye not rather veil

With a lily in her hair?

'Twas His church our Saviour called
His pure and spotless Bride;
The Band of true believers,
For whom He lived and died;
