Like music o'er a moonlit sea,
O! be thy future destiny;
And may life's yet untrodden bowers
Yield nought but sweet and thornless flowers.

KATHLEEN O'MORE.
"My love! still I think that I see thee once more;
But, alas! thou hast left me thy loss to deplore,
My own little Kathleen, my dear little Kathleen,
             My Kathleen O'More!"

Thou art gone in the freshness of beauty and bloom,
Mid silence and darkness to rest in the tomb:
Our hearts are left mourning, my own little Kathleen,
             My Kathleen O'More!

The spirit of beauty, so pure and so bright,
That shed round our pathway love's halo of light,
Hath fled to its fountain, my own little Kathleen,
             My Kathleen O'More!

Then let not our tears for thy rapture be given;
Though thy dust sleep in silence, thy soul is in heaven:
We weep for the living, my own little Kathleen,
             My Kathleen O'More!
