SANCTUARY
Sanctuary! Sanctuary!
"Lo! is one that calleth me!"
Oh, the Bridegroom goeth fast
With a sudden tender haste,
Flings the gold door open wide—
Midnight, and the storm outside!

Sanctuary! Sanctuary!
"Thou hast tarried long," saith He;
And His own lamb gathereth,
Weak and drenched with dews of death.
One hath turned her round and gone
Back to earth—alone, alone.
