Dr. Theodor II. Boveri, of the University of Würzburg, was to have spoken on "The Material Basis of Heredity," but was unable (o be present owing to ill health. Otherwise the program would have represented education and the sciences of conduct, the organization of science, and the exact and biological sciences, with two addresses from home and three addresses from abroad.
