Act

To amend the South Africa Act, 1909, so as to abolish appeals to the Privy Council.

Be it enacted by the King’s Most Excellent Majesty, the Senate and the House of Assembly of the Union of South Africa, as follows:―

Amendment of section 106 of South Africa Act, 1909.

1. Section one hundred and six of the South Africa Act, 1909, is hereby repealed and the following section substituted therefor:

“No appeal to King-in-Council.

106. There shall be no appeal to the King-in-Council―

(a)

from any judgment or order of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of South Africa given on an appeal from any court in the Union or the territory of South-West Africa; or
