Notes. — As to the Rev. Daniel Amiand (or Amyand), see my chapter xvii. With regard to the name “Bouteiller,” I observe in the New Annual Register for 1782 the marriage of “Sir Hyde Parker, captain of the Goliah man-of-war, of 74 guns, to Miss Boutilier, daughter of J. P. Boutilier, Esq., of Henley.” The surname Stahelun may have some connection with Stehelin.
