Among these the most important is perhaps Vita Hein- rici IV imperatoris. (Octavo edition of the Monumenta, and Geschicht- schreiber, Vol. L.) Libelli de lite imperatorum et pontificum saeculis XI et XII conscripti, 3 vols., 1891 sqq. Published in the Monumenta, and contains the pam- phlets and treatises which were called forth by the troubles between pope and emperor.
