BE it enabled by the King's moft Excellent Majefty, by and with the Advice and Confent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and the Commons, in Parliament now aflembled, and by Authority of the fame. That all Colledors and other Perfons who have levied or collected, or (hall levy or colledl, any Sum or Sums of Money, or other Adl done, or (hall do in order to the fame, by Virtue of any A&. of Parliament now in Force, or of any other Aft, Order or Ordinance allowed to be put in Execution by any fuch A6t of Parliament, as aforefaid, and who is or (hall be fued for or concerning the fame, by any other than the King's Majefty, his Heirs and SuccefTors, he and they may plead the General KTue, and thereupon give the fpecial Matter in Evidence for his Excufe and Juftification : And that all and every Per- fon or Perfons already fued or impleaded for any the Caufes aforefaid, may notwithftanding any Plea or Demurrer already made by any fuch Defendant, have Liberty to change fuch his Plea, and to plead the General Iffue, if he fliall think fit fo to do, IL Provided always.
