' Coventry Knight of the Honourable Order of the Bath, being a Member of the Commons Houfe of Pai ' liament, and then attending the Parliament, and upon the Perfon of his Servant JFilliam TFylkes, by ' confiderable Number of armed Men-, both on Foot and Horfeback, whereby the faid Sitjohn Coventi ' and his faid Servant then loil feveral Goo<3s, and the faid Sir John Cover/try received divers Wounds, foin ' of which were given him in fuch barbarous Manner, that fome of the OiFenders held him whilft othei ' wounded him. I No Pardon but V. And be it further enacted by the Authority aforefaid. That neither the faid Sir Thomas Sandys, Charles ; by Aft of Par- Obrian, Simon Parry, Miles Reeves, nor any who upon the Attempt aforefaid aftually took'a way any Goods ■liament. from the Perfons of Sir yohn Coventry or his faid Servant, or aiftually gave any Blow or Wound to the faid Sir yohn Coventry or his faid Servant, or held or kept down the faid 'Sn John Coventry or his faid Servant, v/hile they the faid ^nyohn Coventry and his faid- Servant oreither of them were robbed, beaten or wounded, nor any who commanded the Party, either of Horfemen or Footmen, in executing the aforefaid villainous and barbarousAtterr.pt, fhall be pardoned anv of the Offences in this Acf mentioned, but are made inca- pable of any Pardon for the fame from the King's Majeily, his Heirs and Succelfors, unlefs by A£t of Par- liament, wherein fuch Perfon or Perfons fhall be particularly named. A Pardon grant- VI. And be it further enafted by the Authority aforefaid.
