And be it further ena£led by the Authority aforefaid. That it {hall and may be lawful for any Viftu- v ftuallers, &c, allers or Retailers, or common Brewers, who for or within the Space of one Year before the Seventeenth '"•'>' ^'"^ J.^>- of November la.il, have not b.eWed their own Beer and Ale, to brew and make the Strong Beer, fmall '"^ " ^*"' Beer, or Ale, drank, confu...ed, fpent, or fold in their refpeftive Houfes, Out-houfes, or other Places, paying the Duty of Excife for the fame, in Manner as Brewers and Retailers of Beer and Ale brewing and making the fame are liable by the Laws of Excife now in Force ; and on their entring the Beer and Ale by them refpeftively made, at the Excife Office within the Limits wherein fuch Beer and Ale ihall be made, and on the Payment of the Duty of Excife for the fame, fuch Perfon and Perfons fhall not be lia- ble to the Penalty of one hundred Pounds impofed in an Aft made in this prefent Parliament, intituled, An Ante c. 3. an additional Duty of Excife upon Beer, Ale, and ether Liquors, from and after the faid fix hundred thoufand Appropriation Pounds {hall be paid to the States General: And alfo all Monies to be collefted, levied, and paid by virtue of this and the of this Aft, {hall be applied to the Ufes following (that is to fay) the Sum of five hundred and feventy Ref.due of the thoufand Pounds, Part thereof, {hall be applied and appropriated, and is hereby appropriated for the Build- ^^"^^ ^"^"'^ ing, and for the Guns, Rigging, and other furnifhing of feven and twenty Ships of War, whereof feven- |'J-^2i^° '^^ teen to be of the third Rate, and to contain and meafure eleven hundred Tons, or thereabouts, and to Men ot^War. . carry eighty Guns apiece ; and ten to be of the fourth Rate, and to contain and meafure nirie hundred Tons iW. & M.
