I. for an Aid of a a, in the Pound, ^6. revived. 8 & 9 W. 3. £,28, due, owing or payable for Land and Sea Services, performed and to be performed, and the Charges and Expences relating thereunto, qr fome of them, fo far as the faid Money will extend ; and ihe Commiffion-' ers of His Majefty's Treafury now being, and the Treafurer, and the Under Treafurer of the Exchequer, and Commiffioners of the Treafury for the Time being, are hereby direfted, authorized and required to caufe all the Monies to be advanced, or arifing as aforefaid, to be applied, illued and paid accordingly. LXXXVIII. And to the end- the Sums by this Aft appropriated may not be diverted or a| plied to any other Purpofes than arc hereby dire£ted and intended, Be it further enacted by the Authoritv iforefaid. An ASi foi^rantin;r to their Majeflies an Aid of two Shillings in the Pound for orieYcnr^ for the fpeedy Payment of the Money thereby granted into the Receipt of the Exchequer, by the Collettois and Receivers, and for the Diftribution and Application thereof, and keeping diftincA A-ccounts of the iamc-, and all other Provifions, Pains, Penalties and Forfeitures thereby enafted, in cafe of Diverfion or Mifap- plication of any Money thereby appropriated, are hereby revived and enabled to be in Force, and fhall be praiSlifed, applied, ejcecuted, and put in Ure, for and concerning the Diftribution and Application of the faid Sums hereby appropriated, as fully, amjily and effedtually, as if the fame were here again particularly repeated and re-enacled. ' Times as the Officers of the Talley Court, their Deputies or Subftitutes, fhould be there prefent, to ' levy a Talley or Tallies for the fame, nor fhould any Telkr, or other Perfon employed by him, throw ' down or caufe to be thrown down into the faid Court, any Bill or Bills, owning or purporting the re- ' ceiving any Sum or Sums of Money, from any Lender of Money, Receiver, or any other Perfon or Per- ' fons whatfoever, upon which Bill or Bills a Talley or Tallies are to be levied, according to the Courfe of ' the faid Receipt, unlefs fuch Teller refpeflively, or his Clerks, or Perfons employed -by him, fhould have ' aftually received, and have then in his Office the very Pvdoney which fhould be fpecified in fuch Bill or Bills refpectively (except as therein is excepted) under the Penalties therein mentioned;' Be it enafted by eight, to receive from Commiffioners, Receivers, Colle£lors, or other Perfons making any Payments to His Majefty at the faid Receipt of His Exchequer, upon any Account whatfoever, or upon Loans, Bills under the Seal of the Governor and Com.pany of the Bank of England, commonly called Bank Bills, as fliall be tenured in Payment for any Aids, Taxes, Revenues or Loans whatfoever, unto the End of the next Seffion of Parliament, and no longer ; any thing in the faid recited Aft, or in any other Aft or Afts of Parliament, or any Cuftom or Ufage to the contrary in any wife notwithftanding ; provided that none of but not at any DlfcOLMlt.

?'HEREAS in and by an Aft made and pafTed in the Parliament hoA&mt Wejimin/ier, in the

An Ail for granting to His Majefty certain Duties upon Glafs Wares, Stor.e and Earthen BmIcs, Coals and Culm, for carijing on the PFar agai7fi'Pvance, feve- ral Ral,es and Duties therein mentioned were laid upon all Glafs, and Glafs Wares, Stone and Earthen Bottles, which at any Time or Times during the Term of five Years, from and after the nine and twen- tieth Day Q^ September, which was in the Year of our Lord one thoufand fix hundred ninety-five, fhould be made wiihin the Kingdom of England, Dominion of Wales, and Town oi Berwick upon Tvjced, or imported or brought into the fame ; and in and by another Aft made and paffed in the Parliament holdt-n at Wiflminjier, in the feventh Year of His Majefty's Reign, intituled. An ASi for continuing, to His Majefty certain Duties upon Salt, Glafs Wares, Stone and Earthen Wares, and for granting feveral Duties upon To- bacco Pipes, and ether Earthen Wares, for carrying on the War againfl France, and for eflabliflnng a national Land Bank, and for taki;:g- off the Duties upon Tunnage of Ships, and upon Coals, the aforefaid Rates and Duties upon Glafs, cr Glafs Wares, Stone Bottles, and Earthen Bottles, are continued and granted to His Majefty, His Heirs and Succellbrs for ever ; and it was thereby further enafted.
