That the faid feveral Rates, Duties, and Impofitions ■ to lie coUetled. upg^ Beer, Ale, Cyder, and other Liquors aforefaid, and all Arrearages thereof, be raifed, l«vied, collefted, and paid unto her Majefty, her Heirs and Succeffors, during the faid Space and Term of thirty-two Years, in the fame Manner and Form, and by fuch Rules, Ways, and Means, and under fuch Penalties and For- feitures, and with fuch Power of Mitigation, and other Powers, and with fuch Allowances, as any the Du- ties of Excife upon Beer, Ale, or other Liquors, are by any Aft or Afts of Parliament or Law whatfoever, now in Force, enadted, appointed, or allowed to be raifed, levied, collefted, managed, recovered, and paid • and that fo much of the faid A£ls as are now in Force, for the raifmg, levying, collecfting, paying, or an- fwering the faid Duties of Excife, or any of them, formerly granted, fhall be continued and revived, and be praftifed, put in Execution, and obferved, in and for the raifmg, levying, colle£ling, managing, ad- judging, and anfwering the faid Duties of Excife, by this Adi: granted, for and during the faid Term of - thirty-two Years, and all Arrearages thereof, for the Purpofes in this A£t exprelTed, as fully and efFedlu- ally as if the fame were particularly and at large re-enafted in the Body of this prefent A£i:. That frotn and after the Commence- IV-l-c. 21./. 8. rnent of this Act, the Vinegar fo made and ufed is and fhall be liable to the Duties by this Aft, and the for- mer Acts, whereby the Duties on Vinegar are impofed ; and the faid Perfons fhall, to all Intents and Pur- pofes, be deemed and taken to be the M;akers of Vinegar for Sale, within the Meaning of the fame Acts. mLkm"wh't ^' ^"^^^'^ always, 1 hat nothing fn this or any other Act, fhall extend, or be conftrued to extend, to Uad'"uot liable, charge with this or any other Duty, fuch Vinegar as fhall be made by the Manufacturers of White Lead ' only, and ufed and confumed by themfelves, in the making and preparing the fame, and to no other ufa whatfoever ; neverthelefs, fuch Makers of Vinegar, fo ufed in the preparing of White Lead (in cafe they fhall fell or deliver out any Vinegar whatfoever by them made, to any Perfon or Perfons, or employ the fame for any other Ufe) fhall from henceforth be chargeable with all Duties payable to her Majefty by Vinegar-makers, for all Vinegar by them made or to be made. That there fhall be anfwered and paid unto her Majefty, her Heirs and Succeffors, Made perpetual* for and upon all and all Manner of Pepper, Raifins, Nutmegs, Cinnamon, Cloves, and Mace whatfo- by 6 Geo. i. c. ever; and for fuch SnufF as is herein after-mentioned, imported or to be imported into the Kingdom of 4- §• !• Great Britain, at any Time or Times after the fixth Day of February one thoufand feven hundred and nine, within or during the Term of thirty-two Yeais from thence next and immediately enfuing (over and above all Duties, and additional Duties already payable for the fame, or any of them, by any other Law now in Force) the feveral new Rates, Duties, and Sums of Money following; that is to fay, chTrleaUewith' ■^° ^very Pound of Pepper, Averdupois Weight, imported as aforefaid, one Shilling and fix Pence, this Du'yi 9 Anns, c. 6. §. fg, Raifins. For every Hundred Weight of Raifins, of what kind foever, imported as aforefaid, accounting one hundred and twelve Pounds Jverdupois to the Hundred, the Sum of five Shillings. Nutmegs, &c. And for the better fecuring the Duties upon Pepper by this and other Afts of Parliament impofed, ^' ^' and to the Intent that the fame may not be too burdenfome on the Importers of fuch Pepper, as fhall be Pepper imported again exported to Parts beyond the Seas ; it is hereby provided, and further enafted by the Authority aftei-i7l^ebruary aforefaid, That from and after the feventeenth Day oi February one thoufand feven hundred and nine, all 1709. to be fuch Pepper as fliall be imported into the Kingdom oCGreat Britain, fhall upon Entry thereof be forth- Warehoufed, yffii carried and put into fuch Warehoufe or Warehoufes, as fhall for that purpofe be provided by and and Half the at the Charge of the Importers of the faid Pepper, and be approved of by the Commiflioners of her Majef- Subfidy paid j ty's Cuftoms for the time being ; and half the Subfidy which by Law is payable for Pepper, imported after the faid feventeenth Day oi February, fhall be paid down in ready Money by the Importer or Importers thereof, who fhall have Power to Sift or Garble the faid Pepper as hath been ufual, and ever praftifed, to
