' granting to her Majcjly^ an additional Suhjidy of Tonnage and Poundage for three Tears, and for laying a further ' Duty upon French Wines condemned as lawful Prize, and for afcertaitiing the Value of unrated Goods imported ' from the Eaft Indies, it is therein, amongft other Things, enadied, That all Englijh Merchants fhould,

  • from and after the eighth Day oi March one thoufand ieven hundred and three, have eighteen Months

' Time allowed them from the Entry inwards for the Exportation of all Tobacco, Sugar, Ginger, Pepper,

  • Bugles, Cafl and Bar. Iron, Dying Wood, Dying Wares, and Drugs, and fhould have the like Benefit

' and Drawback by fuch Exportations, as if the fame had been exported within twelve Months : And ' whereas the Time allowed to Foreigners for Exportation of fuch Goods is limited to nine Months, ' which by Experience is found to be too fhort, and very inconvenient to Trade ;' Be it therefore enafted by the Authority aforefaid. That all Foreign Merchants, or all Britijli Merchants commiffioned by them, {hall from and after the feven and twentieth Day of March one thoufand feven hundred and ten, have fif- t'ati'on of certain teen Months Time from the Entry Inwards of all Tobacco, Sugar, Ginger, Pepper, Bugles, Cafl: and Foreign Goods. Bar Iron, Dying Wood, Dying Wares, and Drugs (already imported or to be imported) allowed them' Thefe fittcen to expott the fame, and fliall have the like Benefit and Drawback by fuch Exportation, as if the fame Months enlarged j^g^j been exported within nine Months, according to the fecond Rule in the Book of Rates ; "the faid byvGeo?!. ' Ru^^? o^ ^"Y Other Law or Cuftom now in Force relating thereunto notwithftanding : Provided Certi- ficates be taken forth, and Oath made, and all other Requifites performed, according to the Laws now in Being. ' XXIII. And whereas the Laws of this Realm do require. That for Ships trading to or in herMajefly's ' Plantations, lading Sugars and other enumerated Commodities there. Bonds be given, which are com- ' monly called Plantation Bonds, with Condition to bring the fame Goods to Great Britain, or to fome ' other of her Majefty's Plantations, or to that effetSl : Now to prevent the Difcouragement which Perfons ' trading to and from the faid Plantations do or may lie under by the faid Bonds lying out againft them, ' although the Conditions thereof are or fliall have been performed;' Be it enafted by the Authority aforefaid. That as to fuch of the faid Plantation Bonds as have been entred into at any Time or Times before the eight and twentieth Day oi March one thoufand feven hundred an ten, and are now remaining in the Hands of any of her Majefty's Officers, in cafe there fhall be no Profecution for fome Breach or tatiotss, fee farther jJon-performance of the refpeftive Conditions thereof before the eight and twentieth Day oi March one thoufand feven hundred and thirteen, or if upon fuch Profecution J,udgment be not obtained for her Ma- jefty before the eight and twentieth Day oi March one thoufand feven hundred and fifteen, then fuch of the faid Plantation Bonds, fo already entered into, fliall (for want of fuch Profecution or Judgment) be void ; and as to fuch Plantation Bonds as fhall be entred into after the faid eight and twentieth Day of March one thoufand feven hundred and ten, in cafe there fhall be no Profecution for fome Breach or Non- performance of the refpedtive Conditions thereof, within three Years after the Dates thereof, or if upon fuch Profecution as is lafl-mentioned Judgment be not obtained for her Majefty within the Space of two Years after the fame Profecution commenced ; then every fuch Plantation Bond, which fhall hereafter be entred into as aforefaid (in Default of fuch Profecution to be commenced, and Judgment to be obtained ^^c'*' ^' ^°' vvithin the Times before limited) fhall alfo be void : And all the faid Plantation Bonds fo made void by fef 33" ^i/cL. this Ad, fhall be delivered up by the Officers having the fame in their keeping, to be cancelled, with- a. c. 51 & 53. And whereas by an AQ: made in the eleventh Year of the Reign of his faid late Majefty King ' King William the Third, intituled, An Act for the more effe5lual employing the Poor, by encouraging the ' ManifaSiures of this Kingdom, upon the Exportation of wrought Silks, and other Commodities therein ' mentioned. Security is to be taken in the Manner therein expreft : Now in Regard it may happen fome ' of thefe Goods may be vended in Foreign Parts, from which no Certificate can be produced, as the faid

as to fuch of the Securities laft-mentioned, as have been entred into at any Time or Times, before the Eight and twentieth Day of jiMyrir/j one thoufand feven hundred and ten, and are now remaining in the Hands of any of lier Majefty's Officers, in cafe there fhall be no Profecution for fome Breach, or Non- performance of the refpeSive Conditions thereof, before the eight and tvi^entieth Day o^ March one thou- fand feven hundred and thirteen, or if upon fuch Profecution Judgment be not obtained for her Majefty before the eight and twentieth Day of yj-frtrf^ one thoufand feven hundred and fifteen; then fuch of the faid Securitiis fo already entred into upon Exportation of fuch Silks, and other Commodities laft-men- tioned, Ihall (for want of fuch Profecution or Judgment) be void ; and as to fuch Securities as fhall be entred into, after the faid eight and twentieth Day of March one thoufand feven hundred and ten, upon Exportation of fuch wrought Silks, and other Commodities as are laft-mentioned, in Cafe there fhall be no Profecution for fome Breach, or Non-performance of the refpeftive Conditions thereof, within three Years after the Dates thereof, or if upon fuch Profecution as is laft-mentioned. Judgment be not ob- tained for her Majefty within the Space of two Years after the fame Profecution commenced ; then every fuch Security relating to wrought Silks or fuch other Goods as are laft-mentioned, which fliall hereafter be entred into as aforefaid, (in Default of fuch Profecution to be commenced, and Judgment to be ob- tained within the Times before iimiced) fhall alfo be void ; and ail fuch Securities fo made void by this A<9:, fhall be delivered up by the refpectlve Officers, having the fame in their keeping,, to be cancelled without Fee or Reward. XXV. And it is hereby enaded by the Authority aforefaid. That if any Officer of her Majefty's Re- venue, having the Cuftody of any of the Bonds by this AtSt required to be' delivered up to be cancelled as aforefaid.
