C. 8. 125 and is hereby alfo charged upon, and fhall be paid aad payable, from Time to Time, out of all the Mo- nies arifen or to arife, at the Receipt of the Exchequer, of or for^the faid particular Duties on Houfcs, . nd lib is at Por- tions, without any Deduction, Defalcation or Abatement whatfoever ; all which Payments fhall alfo be made in fuch Manner and form, ar.d with fuch Preference, as are herein after prefeiibcd in that Behalf. XIII. Provided always, and it is hereby enabled, That it any Time upon one Year's Notice to be given Red«m»Heon at the Feaft of St. Michael the Archangel in the Year of our Lord one thoufand feven hundred and (even- ^eat'Mith teen, or at any quarterly Fcaft-day after the Fealt of St. Michael the Archangel in the Year of our Lord i - ll . one thoufand feven hundred ami feventeen, and not before, and upon full Payment by Parliament of the faid Sum of twoMillions five hundred iixty-one thoufand twenty-five Pounds, and all intereft that fhall be then due thereupon, and all Arrears (if any) which fhall be due at the Time of fuch Payment, 0:1 the faid Annuity of feventy-iix thoufand eight hundred and thirty Pounds and fifteen Shillings per Annum, and cancelling and difcharging all the faid Exchequer-bills, then and not till then, the faid Annuity or Allow- ance of leventy-fix thoufand eight hundred and thirty Pounds and fifteen Shillings per Annum, fhall from thenceforth ceafe and determine ; this Aft or any Thing therein contained to the contrary notwichflanding. And for the better and more regular Payment of all the Monies which fhall be payable unto the faid Go- vernor and Company of the Bank of England, and their Succeflbrs, by virtue of this Aft, as well for 0: upon the faid feveral Annuities of eighty-eight thoufand feven hundred fifty-one Pounds feven Shillings and ten Pence Half-penny, one hundred thoufand Pounds, and feventy-fix thoufand eight hundred and thirty Pounds fifteen Shillings per Annum, as alfo for or upon the faid other Annuity or Annuities, after the Rati? of five Pounds per Centum per Annum, (fubjeft neverthelefs, as aforefaid) (landing Orders fhall be figned by the Commiffioners of the Treafury or any three or more of them now being, or by the High Treasurer, or any three or more of the Commiflioners of the Treafury for the Time being; and after figning thereof, the fame fhall be firm, good, valid and efleftual in the Law, according to the Purport and true Meaning of them refpeftively, and of this Aft, and fhall not be determinable by or upon the Death or Removal of- any Commiffioner or Commiffioners of the Treafury, or the Fligh Treafurer for the Time being, or by or upon the Determination of the Power, Office and Offices of them and any of them ; nor fhall any Com- miffioner of the Treafury or High-treafurer, or Under-treafurer for the Time being, have Power to revoke,, countermand or make Void fuch Order or Orders fo figned, as aforefaid. XIV. And for the more fpeedy Payment of the Monies which fhall be due or payable frverally there- Orders to bs- upon ; It is hereby declared and enafted, That weekly, or otherwfe, as the Monies of the feveral Rates, figned for the Duties, Impofitions, Revenues and Incomes, by this Aft charged or chargeable to or with the Payment ^""5'^^ v . of the laid Annuities of eighty-eight thoufand feyen hundred fifty-one Founds feven Shillings and ten Pence & c ^ e w " y ' Half-penny, one hundred thoufand Pounds, and feventy-fix thoufand eight hundred thirty Pounds and fif- teen Shillings per Annum, and to and with the Payment of the faid other Annuity or Annuities after the Rate of five Pounds per Ccntutn per Annum,- and every of them, or any Part thereof,, fhall from Time to Time be brought into the Receipt of the Exchequer for or towards Payment of the fame, fuch Monies fhall and may be ifiued upon fuch Order and Orders for or towards difcharging the faid feveral and refpec- tive Annuities or yearly Sums thereupon charged, to grow due for or at the End of the Quarter of a Year, in which fuch IiTues or Payments fhall be made, fo as fuch weekly or other fpeedy. Payments do not exceed the Sums of the refpeftive quarterly Payments, which fhall grow due for or at the End of fuch Quarter refpeftively. XV. ' the feven t , as aforefaid) fhall and they are hereby obliged and required, until all the faid Exchequer-bills for the faid t ;n fuji^'cani. Sum of two Millions five hundred fixty-one thoufand twenty-five Pounds fhall be fully difcharged and can- celled, celled, purfuant to the faid Provifo and Power of Redemption in that Behalf, exchange for ready Money all fuch of the faid Exchequer-bills for the faid Sum of two Millions five hundred fixty-one thoufand twen- ty-five Pounds, as from Time to Time, or at any Time or Times, fhall be in the Hands of any Peribn or Perfons, and be demanded of the faid Governor and Company of the Bank of England, or at their pub- lick Office, to be exchanged for ready Money (whether fuch Bills, or any of them, fhall or fhall not have paffed or had a Currency in his Majefty's Revenues or Taxes) by paying unto all fuch Perfon or Perfons, . in ready Money, the Sum or Sums for which fuch Bill or Bills fo required to be exchanged was or were iiTued, or which the Owner or Owners of fuch Bills fhall be entitled unto by fuch Bill or Bills refpeftively, together with the Intereft. that fhall at the Time of fuch Demand be due on fuch Bill or Bills refpeftively, - and fo tetiei quoties as often as fuch Bill or Bills fhall be demanded as aforefaid ; and in cafe the faid Gover- Bank refilling, nor and Company of the Bank of England, or their Succeflbrs, or their Cafhier, fhall negleft or refufe to mi y be f ued » ** exchange any fuch Bill or Bills for ready Money as aforefaid, contrary to the true Intent and Meaning of this prefent Aft, upon Demand thereof made at their chief Office (which, during the Currency of the Bills before-mentioned, or any of them, is hereby required to be kept at fome Place within the City of London) by the Space of twenty-four Hours, then the Perfon or Perfons demanding the fame, or the Per- fon or Perfons for whole Account fuch Demand lhall be made, fhall or may, and are hereby enabled to bring.
