the Authority aforcfaid, That from and after the five and twentieth Day of March one thoufand (even f' or ( j, e Cor.ii- hundrcd and nineteen, where any Ship or Veffel of the Burthen of fifty Tons, or under, laden with cufto- nuance of thii mable or prohibited Goods, fhall be found hovering on the Coafts of this Kingdom, within the Limits of c,au,i i ( ~' : „ . any Port, and not proceeding on her Voyage for foreign Parts, or to fomc other Port of this Kingdom, t'g'fti'oj/j Wind and Weather permitting, it fhall and may be lawful to and for any Officer or Officers of his Ma-^'^ I / ' jefty's Cuftoms to go on board every inch Ship or Veffel, and to take an Account of the Lading, and to demand and take Security from the Matter or other Perfon having or taking the Charge or Command of fuch Ship or VelTel in that Voyage, by his own Bond by him to be entred into unto his Majefty, his Heirs and Succcflbrs-, in fuch Sum or Sums of Money as fhall be treble the Value of fuch foreign Goods then on Board, with Condition, That fuch Ship or Veffel (as foon as Wind and Weather, and the State and Condition of fuch Ship or Veffel doth permit) fhall and will proceed regularly on fuch Voyage, and fhall land fuch foreign Goods in and at fomc foreign Port or Ports ; and if fuch Mafter or other Perfon having Mailer, &c. re- or taking the Charge or Command of fuch Ship or Veffel, fhall upon fuch Demand refufe to enter into fuch in^uonj"'" Bond, or having entred into fuch Bond, fhall not depart or proceed regularly on luch Voyage (as foon as Wind, Weather, and the State and Condition of fuch Ship or Veffel fhall permit) unlefs otherwife fuffered to make a longer Stay by the Collector (or other principal Officer in his Abfence, of fuch Port where fuch Ship or Veffel fhall be, not exceeding twenty Days) then and in either of the faid Cafes, all the The Forel e" foreign Goods fo on board fuch Ship or Veffel, fhall and may, by any Officer or Officers of the Cuibms, ^£°^ s o ™ a £ f he , by Direction of the Collector or other principal Officer, as aforefaid, be taken out of and from fuch Ship ship, and fe- or Veffel, and forthwith brought on Shore and fecured ; and in cafe the faid Goods are cuftomable, the cured, and Cuftoms and other Duties fhall be paid for the fame ; and as concerning Wool or any prohibited Goods, Cuftom paid, or other Goods liable to Forfeiture, which may be found on board fuch Ships or Veffels at the Time And Wool or of their unl.'.ding, as aforefaid, the fame are hereby declared to be fubjedt to Forfeiture, and the Officers P roh ;b"«<i Goods of the Cuftoms fhall and may profecute the fame, as alfo the Ship or Veffel, in cafe fhe fhall be liable ,0^,eltcd • to Condemnation, as in the Manner herein after mentioned.
