And for the more fpeedy raifing of Money towards making good the Sinking Fund as afore- be U rair^°"po S n t0 faid, it is hereby further enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That it fhall and may be lawful to and for fuch Tallies, &c. the f a >d Commiffioners of the Treafury, or any three or more of them now being, or the High Trea- and Affignmenis furer, or any three or more of the Commiffioners of the Treafury for the Time being, to caufe any Sum to be made or Sums of Money to be raifed upon fuch Tallies of Pro or Aflignment, or other Tallies, or upon fuch thereupon. Annuities to be payable in refpect thereof as aforefaid, by Mortgage, Sale, or otherwife, and at or for fuch Price or Prices, or at fuch Rate or Rates of Intereft, or for fuch Confiderations, as to the faid Com- miffioners of the Treafury, or High Treafurer for the Time being, fhall feem moll expedient, and there- upon to caufe any Affignment or Alignments of the faid Tallies and Annuities, or any of them, to be made to the Perfon or Perfons, Body or Bodies Politick or Corporate, who fhall purchafe the faid Tal- lies, or any of them, or the faid Annuities, or any of them, or fhall lend any Monies upon the faid Tal- lies and Annuities, or any of them, as the faid Commiffioners of the Treafury, or High Treafurer for Annuities fubjea the Time being fhall judge to be reasonable; all which Annuities in refpecT: of the faid Sum of one hun- to Redemption <] rec [ an( j t wo thoufand fix hundred eighty-two Pounds feven Shillings and eleven Pence three Farthings, ^Parliament, fhall nevertheless be Subject to fuch Redemption by Parliament, as is by the faid recited Act provided touching the other Annuities which have been or fhall be purchaled thereupon. Provided always, and be it enaded by the Authority aforefaid, That all Monies lent and to Lo P ans Ca an™other be 1 . ent t0 . his Majefty upon one Act of this Seffioh of Parliament, intituled, An Ail for granting an Aid Monies. to b' s Majefty by a Land-Tax to be raifed in Great Britain for the Service of the Year one thoufand feven hun- 8 Geo. 1. c. 1. dred.and twenty -two; and fo much Money (if any fuch be) of the Tax thereby granted, as fhall arife and • remain after all the Loans made or to be made on the Act laft mentioned, and all the Loans by that Act or any other Act of this Seffion of Parliament transferred or to be transferred to the Regifter for the faid Land -Tax, and the Intereft of the faid feveral and respective Loans, and the Charges allowable for rai- fing the faid Land-Tax, fhall be fatisfied, or Money Sufficient fhall be referved in the Exchequer to dif- charge the fame; and all the Monies to be raifed by way of a Lottery or otherwife, by Virtue of an Act 8 Geo. 1. c. 2. of this Seffion of Parliament for continuing the Duties on Malt, Mum, Cyder and Perry, to. raife Mo- ney by way of a Lottery for the Service of the Year one thoufand feven hundred and twenty- two,, and fo, other the Purpo-fes therein expreffed, and fo much of the fame Duties upon Malt, Mum, Cyder and Perry by that Act granted or continued, as fhall arife and remain (if any fuch be) after all the Payments thereby directed to be made upon Certificates.,, as well for the unfortunate as the fortunate Tickets therein.
