The TITLES of the STATUTES. Duties upon Malt, Mum, Cyder and Perry, in that Part of Great Britain called Scotland, for the Service of the Year one thoufand feven hundred and thirty-four; and for making forth Duplicates of Exchequer Bills, Lottery Tickets, and Orders, loft, burnt, or otherwife deftroyed. 2. An Act for punifhing Mutiny and Defertion ; and for the better Payment of the Army arid their Quarters. 3. An Act for exhibiting a Bill in this prefent Parliament, for naturalizing his Highnefs the Prince of Orange. 4. An Act for naturalizing the moft Serene Prince Wil- liam Charles Henry Frifo, Prince of Orange and NaJJau. 5. An Acl for enlarging the Term and Powers granted by an Act palled in the fixth Year of the Reign of his late Majefty King George the Firft, intituled, An Acl for laying a Duty of tivo Pennies Scots, or one fixth Part of a Penny Sterling, upon every Pint of Ale or Beer that Jhall be vended or fold within the Town of Montrofe, and Privileges thereof for fupplying the [aid Town with frejh Water., and for other Purpofes therein mentioned. 6. An Acl: for granting and continuing the Duties upon Salt, and upon Red and White Herrings, for the fur- ther Term of feven Years ; and for licenfing the erect- ing new Refineries of Rock Salt in the Counties of Efifex and Suffolk. 7. An Act for granting an Aid to his Majefty by a Land-Tax to be raifed in Great Britain for the Ser- vice of the Year one thoufand feven hundred and thir- ty-four. 8. An Act to prevent the infamous Practice of Stock- jobbing. 9. An Act to explain and make more effectual the Laws . in being, to oblige the Pofleffbrs of Lands .adjacent to common Highways, to cut and keep low fueh Hedges as are adjoining to the faid Highways. 10. An Act to indemnify Perfons who have omitted to qualify themfelves for Imployments or Offices, by taking the Oaths, and making and fubferibing the De- claration againft Tranfubftantiation, and receiving the Sacrament, and to allow them further Time for that Purpofe ; and to enable the Vice Chancellor of the Univerfity, and Mayor of the Town of Cambridge, to act as Juftices of the Peace for the County of Cam- bridge, notwkhftanding the Act for the further Qualifi- cation of Juftices of the Peace. 11. An Act for the Application and Difpofal of the Re- fid ue of the Money raifed by way of Lottery, on the Credit of an Act made in the laft Sefficn of Parliament, for the Relief of fuch Sufferers in the Charitable Cor- poration, as are Objects of Companion, according to the Defcriptions therein mentioned. 12. An Act for enabling his Majefty to apply the Sum of one million two hundred thoufand Pounds out of the Sinking Fund, for the Service of the Year one thou- fand feven hundred and thirty-four ; and for appropria- ting the Supplies granted in this Seffion of Parliament. 13. An Act. to enable his Majefty to continue and fettle an Annuity of five thoufand Pounds on the Princefs Royal during the Term of her natural Life, in cafe fhe ftiall furvive his Majefty. 14- An Act for afcertaining the Duties upon Arrack, and for giving further Time to Clerks and Apprentices to pay Duties omitted to be paid for their Indentures and Contracts. 15. An A& to fettle how far Owners of Ships fhall be anfwerable for the Acts of the Mafters or Mariners. l6. An Act for the better regulating the Election of Members to ferve in the Houfe of Commons, for that Part of Great Britain called Scotland; and for incapa- citating the Judges of the Court of Seffion, Court of Jufticiary, and Barons of the Court of Exchequer in Scotland, to be elected, or to fit or vote as Members of the Houfe of Commons. 17. An Act to explain an Ait patted in the laft Seffion of Parliament, intituled, An Afl for the converting a fur- ther Part of the Capital Stock of the South Sea Company into Annuities redeemable by Parliament, and for filling the remaing Part of the faid Stock in the faid Company, fo far as the faid Act relates to the paying off the Bonds of the faid Company. 18. An Act for the Revival of an Act made in the thir- teenth Year of the Reign of his late Majefty King George the Firft, intituled, An Acl for the free Importa- tion of Cochineal during the Time therein limited; and alio for the free Importation of Indico. 19. An Act for the more effectual preventing the clan- destine Importation of foreign Hops into Great Britain and Ireland, and to prevent the adulterating or fophiiti- cating of Hops to alter the Colour or Scent thereof. 20. An Act for the more eafy Redemption and Foreclo- furS of Mortgages. 21. An Act for the more effectual Puniftiment of Affaults with Intent to commit Robbery. 22. An Act for the more effectual preventing the Forging the Acceptance of Bills of Exchange, or the Numbers or principal Sums of accountable Receipts for Notes, Bills, or other Securities for Payment of Money, or Warrants, or Orders for Payment of Money, or De- livery of Goods. 23. An Act for railing' the Militia- of that Part of Great Britain called England, although the Month's Pay for- merly advanced be not repaid ; and for making the Mi- litia within the fame more ufeful. 24. An Act for granting to Samuel Buckley, Citizen and Stationer of London, the fole Liberty of Printing and Reprinting the Hiftories of Thuanus, with Additions and Improvements, during the Time therein limited^ 25. An Act to explain and amend an Act palled in the eleventh Year of the Reign of his late Majefty King George the Firft, intituled, An Acl for the better Regula- ting the Manufacture of Cloth in the Weft Riding of the County of York. 26. An Act for continuing, explaining, and making more effectual two Acts of Parliament, one of the third, and the other of the eighth Year of the Reign of his late Majefty King George the Firft, For Repairing the High- ways from the feveral Places in the faid Ails mentioned, to Highgate Gatehoufe and Hampftead in the County of Middlefex ; and for amending the Roads from the South End of the faid Town of Hampftead, to the further End of Burrough Lane in the Parijh of Hendon ; and for re- pairing other Roads therein mentioned, lying in ihe Parijh of Iflington in the faid County. 27. An Act for making the Church of BablacJz in the City of Coventry a Parifh Church, and for appointing aDiftrict or Parifh thereto; and for enabling the Mafter and UiTier of the Free Grammar School within the faid City, to be the Rector and Lecturer of the faid Parifh Church. 28. An At to extend the Navigation of the Riv«r Weaver from Winsford Bridge to the Town of Namptwich in the County of Chefter. 29.
