An Aft for continuing An At! for the more effeclual punijhing wicked and evil difpofed Per/ens, going armed in Difguife, and doing Injuries and Violences to the Perfons and Properties of his Ma- jejifs Subjecls, and for the more fpeedy bringing the Offenders to Jujlice ; and for continuing two Claufes to prevent the cutting or breaking down the Bank of any River, or Sea Bank ; and to prevent the malicious cutting of Hop - binds, contained in an Aft parted in the fixth Year of his prefent Majefty's Reign; and for the more effectual Pu- nifhment of Perfons removing any Materials ufed for fecuring Marlh or Sea Walls, or Banks, and of Perfons malicioufly fetting on Fire any Mine, Pit or Delph of Coal, or Cannel Coal, and of Perfons unlawfully hunting or taking any Red or Fallow Deer in Forefts or Chafes, or beating or wounding Keepers, or other Officers, in Forefts, Chafes,. or Parks ; and for more effectually fecuring the Breed of Wildfowl. c "1X7" HE RE AS the Laws herein after mentioned, which by Experience have been found ufeful ^w^^eAOs c W and beneficial, are near expiring ;' May it therefore pleafe your moft Excellent Majefty that it cltlnE may be enacted, and be it enacted by the King's moft Excellent Majefty, by and with the Advice and Confent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this prefent Parliament affembled, and by the Authority of the fame, That an Ait made in the ninth Year of the Reign of his late Ma- 9 Geo - *• «■ «• jefty King George the Firft, intituled, An Aft for the more effeclual pinijhing wicked and evil-difpofed Perfons going armed in Difguife, and doing Injuries and Violences to the Per Jons and Properties of his Majejlfs Subjects, end for the more fpeedy bringing the Offenders to Jujlice, which was to continue in Eorce from the firft Day of June one thoufand feven hundred and twenty-three, for the Space of three Years, and from thence to the End of the then next Seftion of Parliament; and which by an Act made in the lz Ge0 - *■ c - J c " twelfth Year of the Reign of his faid late Majefty King George the Firft, was continued from the Ex- piration thereof for five Years, and from thence to the End of the then next Seftion of Parliament ; and which by a Claufe in another Act made in the fixth Year of the Reign of his prefent Majefty, in- 6 Ge0 - 2, c - V" tituled, An Act for making perpetual the feveral Acls therein mentioned, for the better Regulation of furies, and for impoivcring the Juftices of Seffion or Affixes for the Counties Palatine of Chefter, Lancafter, and Durham, to appoint a fpecial Jury in Manner therein mentioned; and for continuing the Ait for regulating the Manufacture of Cloth in the Weft Riding of_ the County of York (except a ClauJ'e therein contained) and for continuing an Ac! for the more effeclual punijhing wicked and evil-difpofed Perfons going armed in Difguife, and for other Purpofes therein mentioned ; and to prevent the cutting or breaking down the Bank of any River, or any Sea Bank; and to prevent the malicious cutting Hop-binds; and for continuing an Act in the thirteenth and & r4 c a r. z. • fourteenth Years of the Reign of King Charles the Second, for preventing Theft and Rapine on the Northern c.22.
