MOST gracious Sovereign : We your Majefty's molt dutiful and loyal Subjects, the Commons Preamble. of Great Britain in Parliament affembled, being defirous to raife the Supply granted to your Ma- 1 jetty in this Seffion of Parliament, by Ways the lealt burihenfome to your Majefty's Subjects, have i refolved to give and grant unto your Majefty the Sum of five hundred thoufand Pounds, out of the

i granted to your Majefty for the Service of the Year one thoufand feven hundred and thirty-nine ; and i alfo to enable your Majefty to iffue and apply the further Sum of five hundred thoufand Pounds out I of the growing Produce of the faid Sinking Fund, or to raife the fame by Loans or Exchequer Bills, ! at an Intereft not exceeding three Pounds per Centum per Annum, to be charged upon and fecured by the ! faid Fund, for the Service of the faid Year one thoufand feven hundred and thirty-nine, in cafe the 1 Exigency of Affairs fhould require the fame, in fuch Manner and Form as is herein after mention- ' ed ; and to that End and Purpofe do moft humbly befeech your Majefty that it may be enacted, and be it enacted by the King's moft Excellent Majefty, by and with the Advice and Confent of the Lords .Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this prefent Parliament affembled, and by the Authority of the fame, That by or out of fuch Monies as now are, or fhall from time to time quarterly be, in Treafury to if- the Receipt of the Exchequer, of the faid Surplufles, Exceffes or Overplus Monies, commonly called f" e °ut °' 'lie the Sinking Fund, at any Time before the Feaft Day of the Nativity of Saint John the Bapiift, which ^^.fj^^ fhall be in the Year of our Lord one thoufand feven hundred and thirty-nine (after paying or referving fufficient to pay all fuch Sum and Sums of Money as have been directed by any former Act or Acts of Parliament to be paid out of the fame) there fhall and may be iffued, paid and applied a Sum not < exceeding the faid Sum of five hundred thoufand Pounds, for or towards the Supply granted to his Majefty, for the Service of the faid Year one thoufand feven hundred and thirty-nine ; and the Com- .miffioners of his Majefty's Treafury, or any three or more of them now being, or the high Treasurer, i or any three or more of the Commiffioners of the Treafury for the time being, are hereby authorized and impowered to iffue and apply the fame accordingly. II.
