A. D. 1741. Anno decimo quarto Georgii II. C. 42. 439 refigned his Commiffion, and has had no Commiflion fince ; that no Part of the fame fliall be allowed to any Pcrfon by virtue of any Warrant or Appointment, except to fuch Perfons who would have been otherwife intitled to the fame as reduced Officers ; and that no Part of the fame fhall be allowed to any of the Officers of the five Regiments of Dragoons, and eight Regiments of Foot lately difbanded in Ireland, except to fuch as were lately taken off the Eftablilhment of Half-pay in Great Britain : * And ' whereas by an Act of Parliament made in the thirteenth Year of his Majefty's Reign, intituled, Afti 3 Geo. z. ' An Acl for granting to bis Majejly the Sum of one million out of the Sinking Fund for the Service of the c.23. ' Year one thoufand feven hundred, and forty; and for enabling his Majejly to raife the further Sum of two ' hundred thoufand Pounds out of the growing Produce of the Jaid Fund ; and for granting to his Majejly the ' Sum of twenty-one thoufand Pounds one Shilling and eight Pence Halfpenny, remaining in the Receipt of his ' Majefty's Exchequer, arifen by_ Sale of Lands in the Iflandof Saint Chriftophers, and for the further appro- 1 priating the Supplies granted in this SeJJion of Parliament; feveral Supplies which had been granted to his • Majefty, as is therein mentioned, were appropriated to feveral Ufes and Purpofes therein expreffed, ' amongft which, any Sum or Sums of Money not exceeding thirty-four thoufand five hundred eighty- < feven Pounds, was appropriated to be paid to the reduced Officers of his Majefty's Land Forces and ' Marines, fubjecr. neverthelefs to fuch Rules to be obferved in the Application of the faid Half-pay, as ' in and by the aforefaid Act were prefcribed in that Behalf :' Now it is hereby provided, enacted and de- « elated by the Authority aforefaid, That fo much of the faid Sum of thirty-four thoufand five hundred The Overplus 1 eighty-feven Pounds, as is or fhall be more than fufficient to fatisfy the faid reduced Officers, according ^ai? ft a^how L to the Rules by the faid Act prefcribed to be obferved in the Application thereof, or any Part of fuch to a be P appli°d.
