The T I T L E S of the STATUTES. PUBLIC K ACTS. Anno 1 8 Georgii II. i. A N Act for granting an Aid to his Majefty by a jTa. Land Tax, to be raifed in Great Britain, for the Service of the Year one thoafand feven hundred and forty-five. 2. An Act for continuing the Duties upon Malt, Mum, Cyder and Perry, in that Part of Great Britain call- ed England; and for granting to his Majefty certain Duties upon Malt, Mum, Cyder and Perry, in that Part of Great Britain called Scotland, for the Service of the Year one thoufand feven hundred and forty-five. 3. An Act to enable the Parifhioners of the Parifh of Saint Margaret, within the Borough of King's Lynn, in the County of Norfolk, to raife Money, by Rates upon themfelves, for finifhing the Church of the faid Parifh. 4. An Act for repairing the Road leading from the Town of King/Ion upon Hull, to and through the Town of' Anlaby, and from thence to the Town of Kirk-Ella, in the County of the faid Town of King/Ion upon Hull. 5. An Act for granting and continuing the Duties upon Salt, and upon Red and White Herrings, for the further Term of fix Years ; and for declaring that the Duties on Salt, which arife and are payable in that Part of Great Britain called Scotland, fhall be fub- ject to the fame Charges thereon, as the fame Duties were liable to by the Act of the fifth Year of the Reign of his late Majefty King George the Firft. 6. An Act for repairing the Road leading from a Gate commonly called Sacred Gate, on the South Eaft Side of the Town of Hedon, in the Eaft Riding of the County of York, through the faid Town, to Hull North Bridge. 7. An Act for punifhing Mutiny and Defertion ; and for , the better Payment of the Army and their Quarter's. 8. An Act for repairing the High Road leading' from : Boroughbridge in the County of York, through North Allerton in the fame County, to Croftbridge on the Ri- ver Tees ; and from thence through Darlington in the County of Durham, to the City of Durham. 9. An Act for granting to his Majefty feveral additional Duties upon all Wines imported into Great Britain ; and for raifing a certain Sum of Money by Annuities, and a Lottery, in Manner therein nS.entio.ned, to be charged on the faid additional Duties. 10. An Act for the fpeedy and effectual Recruiting of his Majefty's Regiments of Foot ferving in Flanders, Minorca, Gibraltar, and. the Plantations, and the Re- giments of Marines. n. An Act' to indemnify Perfons who have omitted to qualify themfelves for Offices and Employments within the t ime limited by Law, and for allowing further Tjme for that Purpofe. 1 2, An Ait for continuing and enlarging the Term and Powers granted by an Act made in the twelfth Year of the Reign of his late Majefty King George the Firft, For repairing the Highways from Speenhamland, adjoin- ing to Newbury, in the County of Berks, to Marlbo- rough, in the County of 'Wilts . M. An Act for more effectually Cleanfing, Deepening, Widening, and piefervjng a Creek called Beverley Beck, funning into the River Hull ; and for move effectually Repairing the Staiths near the faid Beck, and the 3 ' Roads leading from the faid River to the Town of Beverley ; and for Cleanfing the Streets of the faid Town ; and for regulating the Carriages to and from the faid Beck, and the River Hull. 14. An Act for enlarging the Terms and Powers granted by feveral Acts of Parliament for repairing the High- ways between Sheppards Shord and the Devizes, and the Top of AJhlington Hill and Rowd Ford, in the County of Wilts. 15. An Act for making the Surgeons of London and the Barbers of London two feparate and diftinct Cc.pofa- tions. 16. An Act to repair the Road leading from Tadcafter Bridge within the County of the City of York, to a Place near the faid City, called Hobmoor Lane End. 17. An Act for giving a publick Reward to fuch Per- fon or Perfons, his M.jefty's Subject or Subjeits, as fhall difcover a North Weft Paffage through Hudfon's Streights, to the Weftern and Southern Ocean of America. 18. An Act to explain and amend the Laws touching the Elections of Knights of the Shire to ferve irt Parliament for that Part of Great Britain called Eng- land. 19. An Act for repairing the Road from Birmingham, in the County of Warwick (through Elmdori) to a Lane leading by the End of Stone Bridge, in the faid County. 20. An Act to amend and render more effectual an Act paffed in the fifth Year of his prefent Majefty's Reign, intituled, An Aul for the further Qualification of Jujlices of the Peace. 21. An Act to continue an Act, made in the fixth Year of the Reign of his prefent Majefty, for the better Regulation of Laftage and Ballaftage in the River Thames. 22. An Act for granting to his Majefty the Sum of eight hundred thoufand Pounds out of the Sinking Fund ; and for granting a- Sum remaining in the Ex- chequer, arifen by the Surplus of the Duties upon Malt, Mum, Cyder and Perry, for the Service of the Year one thoufand feven hundred and forty-five ; and for the further appropriating the Supplies granted in this Seffion of Parliament ; and for giving further Time for the Payment of Duties omitted to be paid for the Indentures or Contracts of Clerks and Appren- tices, and for the further enforcing the Payment of the faid Duties. 23. An Act to repair and widen the Road leading from Godmanchefter in the County of Huntingdon, through Fen Stanton and Cambridge, to the Firft Rubbing Houje on Newmarket Heath in the County of Cambridge. 24. An AS for effectually preventing the Exportation of Foreign Linens, under the Denomination of Britijh or Irijh Linens. 25. An Act for allowing certain additional Bounties on the Exportation of Britijh and Irijh Linens. 26. An Act for repealing the prefent Inland Duty of four Shillings per Pound Weight upon all Tea fold in Great Britain, and for granting to his Majefty certain other Inland Duties in lieu thereof; and for better fecuring the Duty upon Tea, and other Duties of Ex- cife ; and for purfuing Offenders out of one County into another. 27.
