And it is hereby further enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That the feveral pecuniary Penalties and Forfeitures herein before impofed on Perfons offending againft this Act (not otherwife directed and Jifbe'rccovered applied) ihall and may be recovered by Action of Debt, Bill, Plaint or Information, in any of his Ma- jefty's Courts of Record in Great Britain, or in fuch of his Majefty's Plantations wherein fuch Offence (hall be committed ; in which Suit no Effoin, Protection, Wager of Law, or more than one Impar- lance (hall be allowed ; which laid Forfeitures (hall be applied, one Moiety thereof to his Majefty, ant j difpofed. his Heirs and Succeffors, and the other Moiety thereof to the Perfon or Perfons who fliall fue for the fame. WHEREAS by an Act made and paffed in. the laft SelTion of Parliament, intituled, An Act to%G&>.z explain and amend the Laws, touching the Elections of Knights of the Shire fo ferve in Parliament for ' that Part of Great Britain called England, feveral good Proviiions were enacted for the better regulating 'the faid Elections: And whereas it is reafonable, that like Proviiions (hould be made for the due ' Election of Members to ferve in Parliament, for fuch Cities and Towns in ihat of Great Britain
