And be it further enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That it fhall and may be lawful to and for for the Sum, the faid Commiffioners of the Treafury, or any three or rrioj-e of them now being, or ihc faid Hijh Trea- furer, or any three or more of the Commifiioncis of thcTrcafuiy for the Time being, locaufe txchecjuer Biilj to be made forth at the f.id Receipt, for any Sum or Sums of Money, not exceeding the faid Sum of one hu^idred feventy-fix thoufand eight hundred ninety-three Pounds eleven Shillings and fexen Pence, in the fume or like manner, P'orm and Order, and accoiding to the fame or like Rules and Directions, as are herein before enacted and juefcnbed concerning the Exchequer Bilh herein before directed to be made forth ; and that all and every the Claufes, Provifocs, Powers, Privileges, A:lvantages, Penalties, Forfei- tures and Difabilities herein before contained or referred unto, relating to the faid Lxchequcr Bills (except as before excepted) fliall be applied and extended to the Exchequer Bills to be made forth for the faid Sum, iiot exceeding one hundred fcvcnty-fix thoufand eight hundred ninety-three Pounds ekven Shillings and feven Pence, as fully and e&cftually, to all Intents and Puipofes, as if the faid feveral Claufes or Provifocs had been herein again particularly repeated and re-enafted. te«d° ""'" ^^' 4"- be it farther enafted by the Authority aforefaid, That ail and every the faid Exchequer Bills laft-riientioned, fhall be numbered arithmetically, beginning from the Number which fliall be exprciit;d upon the laH of the Bills herein before dire£led to be made foith, and fnall be regiftercd accordingly, and paid in courfe, according to the Diredions herein contained in that Behalf. XVI. Provided alfo, and it is hereby declared, That it is the true Intent and Meaning of this Acl, that idred and tic prmcipal bum ot one million thirteen thouland one hundred iorty-eight Pounds four Shillings and fix Pence, and all the Intereft and Premium due thereupon) be repaid o>it of the firft Monies that fhall from Time to Time arife into the faid Receipt, of or for the faid Sitdiiig Fund, that fli. 11 be ap- I^lied to the Payment of the Principal of the National Debt, and not otherwife ; and the faid Commif- licners of the Treafury, or any three or more of them, or the faid' High Treafurer, or any three or n-.ore of the Commiffioners of the Treafury for the Time being, fnall and may, and they are hereby authorized and impowered to caufe fuch Monies of the faid Sinking Fund (except fuch Monies of the faid Sinki?ig Fimd&s are or fhall be appropriated to any particular Ufe or Ufes by any Acl or Ads of Parliament in that Behalf) to be ilTued from Time to Time, to fuch Paymafter as fhall be appointed in purfuance of this Aft, by way of Impreft and upon Account, to be by him applied towards the p.iying off a:.d dif- charging the faid Exchequer Bills to be made forth for the faid principal Sum, not exceeding one hundred feventy-fix thoufand eight hundred ninety-three Pounds eleven Shillings and ieven Pence, or any Part thereof, in fuch Courfe and Order as aforefaid, and at fuch Times, and in fuch Proportions, as the faid CommifTioners of the Treafury, or any three or more of them, or the High 1 reafurer for the Time being, fhall thinic fit ; from which refpedlive Time or Times of paying ofF the faid Exchequer Bills, or any Part thereof, by fuch Paymafter as aforefaid, a proportional Part of the Intereft or Premium payable thereupon, at the Time of paying off the fame fhall ceafe and determine ; any Thing herein contained to the contrary Jiotwithrtanding. XVII. And for obviating all Doubts and Diffi-culties which fhall or may arife in relation to the paying ' oft and difeharging the refpeiSlive Stocks of Old and New South-Sen Annuities, as have not been fubfcr'ibed in purfuance of two Ads pafied in the laft Seffion of Parliament, for redeeming the feveral Annuities, carrying an Intereft after the Rate of four Pounds per Centum per Annum, diredled to be redeemed and paid off^thTowi'n]' ^ ' -^^ "^ f^irther enafted by the Authority aforefaid.
