That if any fuch Receiver General fhall return or certify unto the faid Courts, any Sum or Sums of Money to be in arrear or unpaid, after the fame have been received either by fuch Receiver General, or his Deputy or Deputies, or any of them, or fhall caufe any Perfon or Perfons to be fet infuper in the faid Courts, for any Sum or Sums to forfeit double of Money that hath been fo received, that then every fuch Receiver General fliall forfeit to every Perfon Damages J jjj^j Perfons that fliall be molefled, vexed or damaged, by reafon of fuch unjull: Certificate, Return or fet- ting infuper, double the Damages that fhall be thereby occafioned ; the faid Damages to be recovered by Action of Debt, Bill, Plaint or Information ; in which no EfToin, Proteftion or V/ager of Law fliall be and to the King allowed, nor any more than one Imparlance ; and fhall alfo forfeit to his Majefty, his Heirs and SuccefTors, double the Sum. double the Sum that fhall be fo unjuftly certified or returned, or caufed to be fet infuper. Receivers XXVI. And it is hereby provided, declared, and enafted by the Authority aforefaid. Offences againft this Aft, for which there is no particular Way of levying herein before prcfcribed or ap- pointed, fliall be levied by Warrant under the Hands and Seals of three or more of the refpeftive Commif- fioners of the Divifion or Place where any fuch OfFence was or fhall be committed, by Diitrefs and Sale of the Goods of the Offender, rendering the Overplus to the Owner thereof after a Deduftion of reafonable Chaiges for diftraining the fam.e.
