D. 1757, Majcfty, by and with the Advice and Confent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Comm rrs, this prelent Parliament alTembled, and by the Authority of the fame, That the faid Fen Lands and Low Grounds fhall be and are hereby divided into fix Diftri6ts, in fuch and the fame Manner as the fame are herein befure fet forth, bounded and defcribed, and fhall be called and known by the Names of the firft, fecond, third, fourth, fifth and fixth Diftridts, in fuch Manner as is herein before particularly mentioned. IL And be it further enabled by the Authority aforefaid, That the refpecliv^e Perfons herein after ap- pointed and nominated, and their SuccefTors, to be elected in fuch Manner as is herein after diredled, fhall be Comm.iiTioners for putting this Act, and all the Powers herein contained in Execution, within and in relation to the faid feveral Diftri«5ts ; that is to fay, That the Lord or Lady for the Time being of the refpective Manors of Bury and Wi/hwy or in his or her Abfence, an Agent appointed by fuch Lord or Lady refpeclively, under his or her Hand, together with Reade Peacock, Robert Boyden, James Edwards, John Dixon, Richard Lovell, JViUicnn Scotchi^rook, Jonathan Nicholls, James Pearfon, John Beard, Henry Poulter, Francis Overall, Francis Iberfon, John Burgcs, John Cole, John Poulter., John Campion, IVilUarn Campion, Barnabas Brighiy, Robert Hotchkins, Stephen Gojlin, JFiliiatn GoJJin, John Waller, Thomas Pyke and lVilUa?n IVright, fiiall be the Commillioners for the firll Diftrid : That IVilUam Chandler, Peter Def- lips, John Dixon, Thomas Charter, John Poulter, Richard Leach, John Smith, John Burges, Owen Fan?i fenior, and Barnabas Brighty, fhall be the Conimiflioners for the third Diftri^t : That the Agent of the Right Honourable Henry Earl oi Lincoln, and the Heirs or Affigns of the faid Earl, being Owners of the Lands which are now poilcircd by him in the fourtli Diftrid, together with Peter Def cow, Robert Butcher, Hunger for d Keate, Benjamin Letall, Jacob Bailey, Roger Burgcs, I faac Bailey and Matthew IVyldbore, fliall be Commiffioners for the fourth Diftricl : That Jolm Dixon, Barnabas Brighty, James Poidter, John Mid- the Lord or Lady of the Manor of Ra7}if,y, or in his or her Abfence, an Agent appointed by fuch Lord or Lady, under his or her Hand, fliall be one other Commiflioner for each and every of the faid fix Diftrias. III. And be it further enacted by the Authority aforefaid. That the Lords or Ladies of the faid Manors for the Time being, and in their Abfence the faid Agents, and the Agent of the faid Earl of Lincoln, his faid Heirs or Affigns, fnall be at all Times hereafter Commiffioners for the refpedive Diftricts for which they are herein before appointed : And that the feveral other Perfons nominated Commiflioners for the faid DiftricSts refpectively, fhall continue Commiffioners until the Friday in Ea/ier Week one thoufand fevy hundred and fifty-eight, or until other Commiflioners fhall be chofen in Manner hereafter directed. IV. And be it further enafled by the Authority aforcf^iid. That the Proprietors of Lands within the faid refpedtive Diftrii^s, being qualiried as is herein after mentioned, fhall alfemble in the Parifh Church of Ramfiy, on the Friday in Ea/ier Week one thoufand fcven hundred and fifty-eight; and between the Hours of Eleven of the Clock in the Morning and Two in the Afternoon, ele61: fuch Number of Com- miffioners for the Year enfuing as is herein after refpe>5^ively mentioned; that is to fay. For the firft Diftri£f, twenty-four Commiffioners, thirteen of whom fliall be Owners of Land within fuch Diftrid: in the Parifli of Ravijey ; fix fliall be Owners of Land within fuch Diftridl in the Parifli of Bury ; and the remaining five AkiII be Owners of Land within fuch Diitriift in the Parifh of Wijiow : For the fecond Diflrid^, thirteen Commiffioners : For the third Diftric^, thirteen Commiffioners : For the fourth Di- Itricl, eight Commiflioners : For the fifth Diftricf, eleven Commiffioners ; and for the fixth Diftriff, ten Commiffioners: And the faid Proprietors of Lands refpedtively Ihall, in like Manner, aflemble on the Friday in Eafter Week in the next and every other fucceeding Yeir, and elect Commiffioners for each Diftrict ; and the Perfons fo from time to tiine chofen, and being qualified as is herein after mentioned, Ihall adf as Commiffioners until the Friday in Eajler Wt^^V. in the fucceeding Year: And the Elections for each rcfpedtive Diflridt fliall be made by' the Majority of the Proprietors of Lands within fuch Diftritfts refpcdlivcly, who fhall be prefcnt at fuch Meetings ; and in cafe of Equality of Voices, fhall be deter- mined by the Votes of the i'ropiictors prefent, who are Owners of the largell Share" of the Lands in the liifirict for which fuch Meeting fhall be held and fuch Eledtion fliall be made; and the Names of the Perfons elected fliall be entered by the CollecStors or Receivers for fuch refpective Diftri6fs, in Books to be kept for that Purpofc: And in cafe the faid ProjMietors fliall negle^Et to meet in any one Year, at the Time and in the Manner herein before ajjpointed for the Choice of Commiffioners for any one or more Diflridl: or Dillricls, or bemg afTembled, ihill not make fuch Election, the Commiffioners in the pre- ceding Year for fuch refpcdtive Diflrict or Diftricls fhall continue from lime to time Conuiiiffioners for the fucceeding Year, and until a new Eledtion fhall be made on the Friday in Eajier Week as aforefaid. .V. Provided always, and it is hereby cnadted and declared, That from time to time, as often as any Conimiffioncr hereby nominated, or hereafter to be elected in Manner aforefi'id, for the faid feveral Diltiids rclpcctiuely, or any of thcni, ihall die or become difqualilicd, it (hall and may be lawful for the 1 Proprietors
