Nor could he retain his claim in service. At the same time, it was made very clear to him that he would not get that job in UPU unless he resigned from the earlier government job. The decision was not easy but somehow Joshi always had confidence to work things out. He resigned from his government job in the same week in which he returned to Delhi. It took almost a month to clear the formalities. Perhaps that was also the legal requirement of his posting. But Joshi never wavered during that one month. 30 April 1968 was his last working day.
