one work car. Power station equipment included three boilers, one 350 horsepower steam engine and three direct current generators. By 1907, five years later, five more open cars had been added to the roster

The 1907 census noted that of the 14 cars, six were equipped with one motor and eight had two motors.. It also notes that power was being purchased from the Norwich & Westerly Railway at this time. The company was operating 6.25 route miles, plus .13 mile of sidings and turnouts, for a single track equivalent of 6.38 miles.

The additional trackage was a spur up Broad Street, from Dixon House Square past the library, the short branch being used by the cars of the Norwich & Westerly as a terminal.

(A) The four 15-benh open cars had Allis-Chalmers Type S controllers and Allis-Chalmers 301 motors. All double truck cars equipped with air brakes.
