Baynarde, Sir Robert, of Norfolk— (E. i. Roll) bore, sable a fess between two chevronels or; Parly. Roll. For John in Jenyns' Ord. F.

Bayning, William de—(H. iii. Roll) bore, aigent, three fleurs-de-lys azure ; Howard Roll.

Baynton, Sir Robert, knighted at the capitulation of Calais 1348 — bore, sable a bend fusily argent. F.

Bayous, Sir John, knighted at the capitulation of Calais 1348 — bore, gules, two bars and in chief three escallops argent (F.); the same coat was borne by Sir William, of co. Linc., at the first Dunstable tournament 1308.

Bayouse, Herbert, of Merkington — (E. in. Roll) bore, gules, an orle argent over all a bend vair; Jenyns' Ordinary. F.

Bayouse, Sir Robert, of Hunts.— (E. ii. Roll) bore, argent three water-bougets purpure; F. Parliamentary Roll : lyonceux rampant in Harl. M.S. 6137 f 22.

Beauchamp, William, de Elmeley — (E. i. Roll) bore, gules, a fess or — Grimaldi Roll; James differenced with a label (5) argent (or azure); Arden and St. George Rolls.

Beauchamp, Sir Walter de, banneret, (3rd son of William, 5th Baron of Elmeley) — Sealed, as Dominus de Alcestre, the Barons' letter to the Pope 1301, pp. xx, xxiv, bore, at the battle of Falkirk 1298, and at the siege of Carlaverock 1300, gules, a fess between six martlets or; a Sir Walter bore the same at the battle of Boroughbridge 1322. They were also borne by Sir Giles, at the siege of Calais 1345-8. (F.)

(i) Another Sir Gyles differenced at the battle of Boroughbridge with a bordure eii- grelée argent; endentée in Parly. Writs App.

(2) Sir John, son of Sir Giles, differenced at the siege of Calais 1345-8, with a label (3) points argent (or azure).

(3) Sir Edward (or Sir Giles) who was knighted at the capitulation of Calais 1348, differenced, with a label (5), pendants gobony argent and azure.

(4) Roger differenced, with a mullet pierced sable; Surrey Roll.

(5) Sir Wiilliam, of co. Gloucester, differenced at the first Dunstable tournament 1308, with a bordure indented or. Parly. Roll.

(6) .Another William bore, at the second Dunstable tournament 1334, for difference, "sur le melot devaunt," three chevrons gules; Sloane MS. 1301 fo. 260b.

(7) Sir Walter (f 2) John of Powick bore Sir Walter's coat within a bordure argent; Parl. M.S. 1481 fo. 41.

Beavichamp, Guy, 2nd Earl of Warwick — bore, at the battle of Falkirk 1298, at the siege of Carlaverock 1300, and at the first Dunstable tournament 1308, gules crusily (3, 3) and a fess or, as did his son Thomas, 2nd Earl, at the second Dunstable tournament 1334. (F. ) They are ascribed to William, banneret, 1st Earl, 24 E. L, 1295-6 in the Parly. Roll. (K.) Earl William and Earl Guy also bore it, quarterly with 'Le Veyl escu ' (de Warwike), checquy or and azure, a chevron ermine—F. —(the latter sealed the ffarons' letter to the Pope 1301, p|>. xvi. xxiv); Nobility Roll; borne quarterly also by Thomas, 3rd Earl, at the siege of Calais 1345-8, and Richard, 5th Earl, at the siege of Rouen in 1418; tricked crusily (7, 6) Jenyns' Ordinary.
